Description

Got another opportunity to visit dark skies in Kennedy Meadows,
graciously hosted by my friend Dave Erickson at his impressive observatory complex

This was a shakedown (first light) cruise for my Paramount MyT mount, which will replace my EQ6- R Pro as my travel mount.
After some growing pains for a few hours got to imaging on the first night for 3 hours, and got 6 hours on the second night.

RGB processing in PI, stacked on APP,  utilizing BlurX, LRGcombination, SPCC, GHS stretch for the stars, and separate stretch in GHS for the starless image (StarX).
Some NoiseX, curve work, sharpening, and screened the stars back in.

NGC 6914 is a reflection nebula located approximately 6,000 light-years away in the constellation of Cygnus,
and was discovered by Édouard Stephan on August 29, 1881.
Ultraviolet radiation from stars in the Cygnus OB2 association ionize the nebula's hydrogen (wikipedia)

Thanks for looking!
Clear Skies,
Pete
